Sweden and Denmark finished the first phase of the Women’s World Handball Championships with full assets

Sweden and Denmark finished the first phase of the Women’s World Handball Championships in full force. The Scandinavian women, semi-finalists at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, won their last Group A match in Gothenburg against Croatia by 22-17 and finished with 6 points.

The Croatians remained in the second position with 3 points, and third with the same assets is Senegal, who managed to beat China with 22-15.

European runner-up Denmark also continued without a mistake after 39-23 against Romania in Herning. Kristina Jorgensen scored 10 goals for the 1997 world champions.

The Romanian women remained second in Group E with 4 points, and Serbia took the third place with 2 points after success over Chile with 30-16 (10:6). The first three teams from each group reached the second phase of the competition, and the results between the teams have been preserved so far.

They are divided into four new groups of 6 teams each, with the first two of them qualifying for the quarterfinals.
