German speed skater Victoria Stirnemann

Victoria Stirnemann is a German speed skater. She competed at the 2020 Lausanne Winter Youth Olympics and is considered one of the biggest talents in the sports.

Victoria Stirnemann was born on May 24, 2002, in Erfurt, Germany. She is the daughter of the former world-class speed skater Gunda Niemann-Stirnemann and the Swiss manager Oliver Stirnemann. She was trained by her mother and showed great skills in the sports from an early age. She has more than 15 podiums at junior national championships, as well as many more gold medals from local competitions.

Victoria Stirnemann took part in the 2020 Winter Youth Olympic Games in Lausanne, finishing fourth there in the 1,500m.

On October 29, 2021, she earned the bronze in the 3,000m with a time of 4:16.92 min at the German Championships in Inzell behind Claudia Pechstein (4:11.82 min) and Michelle Uhrig (4:16.27 min).

In November 2021 she made her World Cup debut in Tomaszow Mazowiecki, where she finished 30th in the B group in 3,000m. The following week in Stavanger she came 22nd in the 5,000m in the B group with a time of 7:37.357 min and thus scored her first World Cup points. Meanwhile, at her home country, she earned the 1,500m silver at the Deutschland Cup and Internationales Rennen, as well as the 500m gold at the Erfurt Race. Victoria Stirnemann also triumphed with the bronze in 3,000m and 5,000m at the German Single Distances Championships 2022.

In the 2022/2023 season, she continue with her strong performance, winning the 1,000m bronze at the Deutschland Cup, as well as the 500m gold at the Erfurt Race.

Victoria Stirnemann made a fantastic 2022/2023 season after winning the 2x500m bronze at the German Single Distances Championships, before finishing 7th in 1,500m and 8th in 500m and 1,000m at the Neo-Seniors World Cup in Baselga di Pine, Italy. She also competed at the Neo-Seniors World Cup in Collalbo, Italy, finishing 9th in 500m.

In 2024, Victoria Stirnemann made her senior debut at a major championship, competing at the ISU European Speed Skating Championships in Heerenveen, Netherlands, where finished 9th in 500m.
