Brazilian skier Bruna Moura missed Beijing 2022 Olympics after a car accident

Brazilian cross-country skier Bruna Moura will miss the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics after suffering a serious car accident.

She was driving from Austria to Munich Airport, Germany, but the driver of the car took a risky maneuver and hit a truck. The Brazilian athlete has multiple fractures in her legs, arm, shoulder, and ribs and was taken by helicopter to hospital. The driver died in the accident.

The Brazilian cross-country skier Bruna Moura took part in a competition in Austria, where she secured her debut at the Winter Olympics. Immediately after the race, she tested positive for COVID-19 and was quarantined in the country.
