Uzbekistani judoka Diyora Keldiyorova triumphed with gold at the women’s 52kg judo event at the 2023 Hangzhou Asian Games. The Uzbekistani athlete won by ippon the final versus Bishreltiin Khorloodoi (Mongolia), who remained with the silver.
The bronze in the event remained for Sosorbaram Lkhagvasuren (Mongolia) and Yerin Jung (South Korea), who won their matches versus Maryam March Maharani (Indonesia) and Galiya Tynbayeva (Kazakhstan), respectively.
Diyora Keldiyorova is one of the best judokas in Uzbekistan, winning the silver medal in the women’s 52 kg event at the 2023 World Judo Championships held in Doha, Qatar. She won the gold medal in her event at the 2019 Asian-Pacific Judo Championships held in Fujairah, United Arab Emirates.
In the women’s 48kg event, the Japanese judoka Natsumi Tsunoda triumphed with the gold after defeating by ippon Ude-hishigi-juji-gatame her Kazakhstani opponent Abiba Abuzhakynova. The bronze went to Zongying Guo (China) and Khalimajon Kurbonova (Uzbekistan).
Natsumi Tsunoda won the gold medal in the women’s 48 kg event at the 2021 World Judo Championships held in Budapest, Hungary. She also won the gold medal in this event in 2022 and 2023. Natsumi Tsunoda won a silver medal at the 2017 World Judo Championships in Budapest. She won the gold medal in the women’s 48 kg event at the 2023 World Judo Championships held in Doha, Qatar.
