Swedish skier Linn Svahn opened with a victory in the women’s sprint free of the Tour de Ski circuit, part of the cross-country skiing World Cup.
In Toblach (Italy), Linn Svahn finished in 3:01.22 min. She left behind another representative of Sweden, Jonna Sundling, who was only 0.07 sec behind her compatriot. Norway’s Kristine Skistad came in third, 0.29 sec behind the winner.
The rest of the women’s top 6 were Emma Ribom (Sweden), Nadine Fendrich (Switzerland), who triumphed in the Tour de Ski sprint a year ago, and Johanna Hagstrom (Sweden).
Among the women in the World Cup standings, the leader is the American Jessie Diggins with 849 points, followed by Emma Ribom with 782 and another American Rosie Brennan with 730 points.
