Summer McIntosh (Canada) won her second gold of the Paris 2024 Olympics after triumphing in the women’s 200m butterfly final. The 17-year-old Canadian swimmer excelled in one of the toughest disciplines and finished first with a new Olympic record – 2:03.03 min.
Summer McIntosh also won gold in the 400m medley in Paris, as well as silver in the 400m freestyle.
Regan Smith (USA) repeated her feat from Tokyo 2020 when she finished second and now did so in 2:03.84 min, while defending Tokyo 2020 champion Zhang Yufei (China) finished third in 2:05.09 min.
