The top-seeded Iga Swiatek (Poland) won the WTA 500 Qatar TotalEnergies Open tennis tournament in Doha for the second consecutive year. In the final, the Polish tennis player defeated the second-seeded Jessica Pegula (USA) by 2-0 (6:3, 6:0) in 69 minutes.
For Iga Swiatek, who lost just five games in her matches in the tournament, it was her first trophy of the year and 12th of her career.
The leader in the world rankings has 5 wins in 7 matches against Jessica Pegula, to whom she lost at the United Cup tournament in January.
Iga Swiatek broke at both 2:0 and 4:2, but her opponent returned both breaks immediately.
