Japan’s women’s volleyball national team recorded a fifth overall victory at the World Cup, which is being held in Poland and the Netherlands.
The volleyball players from Japan prevailed over Belgium by 3:1 (21:25, 25:20, 25:16, 25:22) in a Group E match of the second stage played in Rotterdam. Japan is second in the group with 15 points (5 wins, 1 loss) before the other two matches of the day are played.
Japan’s next game is on Wednesday (October 5). The top scorer for the team was Mayu Ishikawa with 16 points (1 ace), as did Kotona Hayashi (2 blocks).
