Germany recorded a victory in their first match of the second phase of the European Women’s Handball Championship.
The German women beat the Netherlands by 36-28 (17-13) in Skopje in the first match in Group 2 and occupy the third place with an asset of 2 points. The Dutch women are fifth in the ranking also with 2 points.
The top scorer for Germany was Alina Grijseels with 8 goals.
In another match of the group, Romania achieved a dramatic 28-27 success over Spain, the first success for the team, but despite this, the squad is in last place with 2 points. La Furia has the same asset but is in 4th position.
Crina Pintea scored 7 goals for Romania, while Eliza Buceschi added another 6 goals.
