Stephanie Egger is a Swiss female mixed martial artist who competes in the Bantamweight division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). She is a judo black belt, having won the 2010 European U23 Championships and was the Swiss Judo champion in the +63 kg category in 2011, 2012, and 2013. Her personal MMA record is 8-3-0 (W-L-D).
Stephanie Egger was born on August 12, 1988, in St Gallen, Switzerland. She started playing judo at her younger age and after several international awards, turned to MMA.
Stephanie Egger made her professional MMA debut on September 18, 2015. She face Judith Ruis at the RFC – Respect Fighting Championship 14 and won the first via armbar submission in the first round.
Later the same year, on October 4, she registered another professional MMA win versus Mara Romero Borella at the AFG – Arena Fighting Games via a TKO in the first round.
Stephanie Egger signed with Invicta FC and debuted on November 18, 2016. She faced Alexa Conners at the Invicta FC 20 – Evinger vs. Kunitskaya, but lost via split decision.
After her first loss, Stephanie Egger made three more MMA fights at different promoters and registered a 3 wins – versus Eeva Siiskonen at Buddy Gym – Buddy MMA Clash 2 (via TKO), Reina Miura at Rizin FF – Rizin 17 (via unanimous decision) and Cinja Kiefer at Buddy Gym – Buddy MMA Clash 3 (via rear-naked choke submission).
Stephanie Egger, as a replacement for Bea Malecki, made her UFC debut against Tracy Cortez on October 11, 2020 at UFC Fight Night: Moraes vs. Sandhagen. She lost the fight via unanimous decision.
On October 2, 2021, she won her fight versus Shanna Young at the UFC Fight Night 193 – Santos vs. Walker via TKO in the second round.
On February 19, 2022, Stephanie Egger registered another win versus Jessica-Rose Clark at the UFC Fight Night 201 – Walker vs. Hill via armbar submission.
She registered another loss at the UFC on ESPN 40 – Santos vs. Hill to Mayra Bueno Silva via armbar submission.
On September 3, 2022, Stephanie Egger faced Ailin Perez at the UFC Fight Night 209 – Gane vs. Tuivasa and recorded her 8th win in the MMA after a rear-naked choke submission in the second round.
